1:1 Coaching for business leaders

The first challenge for any leader, is the one in their own head.

You're not alone.

Space to think.
Privacy to really say what you think.

You may be growing a business and finding that too much still depends on you.

You may be preparing to take over. Or taking on a role that asks something different of you.

Perhaps you simply need somewhere to think without having to look certain.

I’m a thinking partner. Someone outside the business who will listen without judgement, ask difficult questions and help you decide what to do next.

Your role is changing. How you work needs to change too.

The habits that helped you build the business can become hard to let go of.

We can work on stepping back from day-to-day delivery, giving others real responsibility and making time for the work only you can do.

Our work starts with what matters to you.

That might be a decision you keep circling. A relationship that’s become difficult. A goal you haven’t made room for. Or a conversation you know you need to have.

For the next generation of leaders, coaching offers space to prepare for a bigger role. To find your own way of leading. And to have the conversations that succession needs.

We explore what’s happening and what might be getting in the way. We question assumptions. We make choices clear.

Then we consider what you will do, say or practice. There is room to think deeply here. There is also a reason for doing it.

>> You don’t need a particular job title. You need something you’re ready to work on.

How we work together

Start with a conversation

We begin with a free, 30-minute introduction. We talk about your goals and see whether there’s a good fit.

Make room for the work

The minimum engagement is 12 hours of coaching, held as 12 one-hour credits. We agree how to use them around your needs.

You might choose six two-hour sessions, a two-hour walk each month or an hour every fortnight. Some people start with a deeper, three-hour session.

Keep it flexible

We review what is useful as we go.

Most of my clients move to a monthly retainer after the initial 12 hours.

Confidentiality

The coaching relationship is with you. I do not report the content of our conversations to your employer, even when they pay.

We sign an agreement before we start. It sets out confidentiality and its exceptions. We discuss these boundaries so you understand them from the outset.

Fees

My fees generally range from £250 to £400 per hour. We discuss the price at or after the introductory conversation, before you commit.

The fee depends on who is funding the coaching, the length of the engagement and circumstances such as charity or key worker status.

Let's begin

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on?

No. You might have a clear goal or just know that something needs to change. The introductory conversation helps us understand what would be useful.

Some days change your organisation forever. They're never the same again. Today was one of those days.
